To increase volumes for the 2023 vintage, an opportunity to source some ‘A Grade’ fruit that had been previously going to Penfolds arose. This vineyard is 55 years old and located on McMurtrie Rd just south of the township of McLaren Vale. It makes up 50% of the blend with the other half coming from our own vineyard on the estate.
WINE REVIEW
93 points – Sam Kim (Wine Orbit)
“This is immediately appealing on the nose, showing blackcurrant, sweet cherry, rich floral, subtle tobacco and cedar aromas. The palate is equally enticing with succulent fruit intensity combined with fine texture and chalky tannins, making it sturdy and supple at the same time with a sustained, delectable finish”.
