93 points – Campbell Mattinson (Halliday Australian Wine Companion)
“Grown on 80-year-old bush vines. Fermented with 30% whole bunches before going into used French oak. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. There’s some rich flavour on offer here, but it still manages to feel delicate, or at least detailed. It’s not overdone, but it is satisfying. It tastes of sweet cherries, sandstone, choc and cloves, with assorted twiggy spice notes threaded throughout. It has the juice; it has the grain; it has the inflections. You can barely go wrong.”
93 points – Sam Kim (Wine Orbit)
“This is immediately appealing on the nose with sweet raspberry, dark cherry, clove and rich floral aromas, followed by a juicy palate offering splendid fruit purity combined with silky texture and fine tannins. Beautifully rounded and flavoursome with a lengthy expansive finish.”
